Through the large glazed sections of the waterfront building, visitors will see our three specially commissioned copper pot stills producing the best of Irish spirits. The ground and first floors will hold a state of the art visitors centre, restaurant and gift shop, surrounding a large paved plaza that’s ideal for al fresco dining and entertainment.
The Clonakilty Distillery is less than 15 minute’s drive from Galley Head Lighthouse and the Scully family farm. Injecting vibrant new life into the heart of the town, the Distillery is set to become a landmark building on the Wild Atlantic Way route. It is here that we will create and manufacture premium Single Pot Still Whiskey and innovative Gin collections, using heritage barley grown on the family farm and wild botanicals harvested from our unspoilt seashores
Visitors will immerse themselves in this unique sensory adventure, experiencing the smell, sound, feel and taste of a distillery creating genuine Irish spirits. Our tour will be a must for the growing number of Irish whiskey fans, those with an interest in the history of distilling or anyone wanting a hands-on experience of a real working distillery in action. Our restaurant will showcase the very best in local West Cork artisan food, offering diners the opportunity to match our Whiskey and Gin collections with award winning produce of the region.
